At Tongariro River Rafting   we aim to conduct business in a manner that is compatible with the balances of the environment and economic needs of our community. Tongariro Experience Ltd is committed to continuous efforts to improve our environmental performance throughout our operations. We will encourage customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to do the same. Along with this we endeavour to help the community where we can. Including actively supporting the Blue Duck Project, Cameron Wilson Trust and many other local community groups and schools. We are dedicated to continuing our efforts in being environmentally friendly:

Cleaning with Environmental Solutions

We appreciate that everyone enjoys receiving clean, dry gear to change into before rafting. We use environmentally cleaning solutions where we can and do our best to air dry wetsuits to save on wasted energy using dryers.

Waste Management and Recycling

We aim to cut the amount of waste thrown away and recycle what we can. We will make sure that there are recycling facilities available for both customers and staff. We also make sure that no rubbish is left behind in any of the areas that we operate in.

Looking after New Zealand

We do everything we can to care for New Zealand at Tongariro River Rafting, and ask our visitors to do the same for the time they are here.

By following the Tiaki Promise, our visitors can ensure they look after New Zealand so that future generations of locals and travellers alike can enjoy its beauty.
