Level 1 Operations:
We are now in level 1!
We are operating at full capacity and are primarily back to normal.
We have reopened online bookings, are taking larger groups down the river and offering our winter hot pools after rafting!
What we are still doing:
During level 2, we adopted new cleaning and sanitizing systems. We believe these are simply good practice, so we are going to maintain most of the new standards we implemented.
This included keeping the new hand sanitizing stations around base available for all staff and customers to use at their discretion.
We will continue to log everyone who comes on a trip with us into our Wherewolf database, and have them declare they are Covid free.
We will thoroughly clean our base daily. This includes cleaning the toilets, changing rooms, cleaning the main area and fully cleaning and sanitising all gear worn by customers.
We will also ensure all our staff are healthy when coming to work.
The bottom line:
Our priority is the safety of anybody interacting with Tongariro River Rafting.
As this situation unfolded, we reviewed all our practices every day and reflected on what would be safest for ourselves and our customers.
We are not going to stop this reflection process and believe there is a lot to learn from Levels 4, 3 and 2. Now we are in level 1, we are not going to let go of these learnings.
If necessary, we are ready to adapt and change.
The only thing we care about more than getting out on the river at Tongariro River Rafting is making sure we are doing so safely for all involved.
We can’t wait to take you on an adventure!
