Traffic Light System: We’re Open at Red/Orange/Green!

The new COVID Protection Frameworks means we can safely and legally run our rafting experiences at ALL settings – Red, Orange and Green.

Please note that all our staff are fully vaccinated.

COVID-19 Precautions:

Booking/before the trip:

We require everyone who comes rafting with us to sign a digital waiver form and provide contact details.

We will send you an email with a link to the form for you to complete before you arrive. You can do it at our base on the provided iPads which we will sanitise after every use.

At the base and driving to the river.

Whilst within our building we require everybody to wear a mask, as well as for the short drive to the river.

Rafting gear:

All the gear we provide is washed thoroughly after every use with water and disinfectant, then fully dried before we give it to you.

We provide fleece(s), a wetsuit, a splash jacket, wetsuit socks, wetsuit booties, gloves, a beanie, a lifejacket and a helmet.

This is also an important safety point for us. As a result, we do make sure everything is thoroughly cleaned.

During your trip:

We will operate with a maximum of 6 people per raft.

Cancellation policy:

We understand that this is a turbulent time for all and that plans are changing quickly and without notice. As such, if you need to cancel your trip due to anything Covid-19 related, we will offer a full refund or reschedule your trip for a more convenient time, whichever you prefer.

The bottom line:

The only thing we care about more than getting out on the river at Tongariro River Rafting is making sure we are doing so safely and legally for all involved.

Don’t forget the things that have NOT changed!

It’s just as important to remember the things that have NOT changed, nor will ever change.  Like our super friendly guides who can’t wait to get out on the water with guests once again.

And the river itself, which is as pristine as ever, and is the perfect way for people to reconnect with nature, in a way that is fun and interactive.
